“The following is a listing of some of the immediate matters he had to contend with: 52 major air violations, 75% of well sites (~50 locations) without SPCC or SWPPP plans, four ‘waters of the state’ contamination cases, and eight outstanding contaminated waste cases that were filed against our company, to name a few. When Scott joined the team, the state of the company was such that it had become a ‘notorious’ operator according to the North Dakota Industrial Commission, and the North Dakota Department of Health. Scott worked diligently to address [the] various EH&S-related woes. He coordinated with the field team to expeditiously address the violations, and communicated all results to either existing or newly formed contacts across the regulatory agencies in question. The result for [our company] was a blemish-free EH&S status in state of North Dakota.”

He established and organized monthly on-site safety/production training for all field personnel, conducted quarterly site audits for the purpose of identifying and correcting any issues with equipment/locations, organized monthly site audits to be performed by lease operators, created a Field Safety and Procedural Manual for reference for all folks in the field, and coordinated all required monthly/quarterly/annual required testing for E&P operations in North Dakota.”
